Full Installs

From start to finish we can bring a dome into your world. Up to 30′ diameter domes are what we specialize in. Larger domes may require equipment rental and engineering depending on your use case.

If your site requires preparation then we can complete that for you ahead of time. Costs of site prep vary, but can be as little as $200 for gravel and $500 for labor. If you are doing the site prep yourself the site must be basically flat for the dome to be supported correctly. Some slope for drainage is fine 1″ / 8ft is what we generally use. Domes are extremely rigid structures that are in compression and tension in many directions simultaneously. If the site is not level or on an even grade the dome will pull itself off the ground where the low spots are and those areas will need to be filled in.

We can also build a wooden for you. This can be mounted on posts with piers. This will provide an excellent anchor and foundation for your dome. A concrete pad is another option.

Whatever the site prep requirements may be we can create a custom solution for you. We are licensed / bonded / insured in the state of Oregon.

Beveled Frame Dome Kits

We offer three different beveled frame dome kits to save you time with your dome build and because you might not have all the tools necessary to build this kind of dome from scratch. Our woodworking kits and an overview of beveled frame construction are a good place to start your investigation if you are new to this type of dome construction. If you don’t want a full build, but would like some extra support we can provide a 2 or 4 hour dome building class tailored to your needs.

Not everyone wants to invest 60 hours (15′ dome) into a project like this. A 90% build kit for example can be assembled in less than a full day.

There are two basic categories of kits. Kits that are flat packable and can be shipped on a palette and kits that won’t pack flat and have to be shipped in a much bulkier way. The 25 & 50% kits are flat packable, and the 75 & 90% kits are not.

Each step up is roughly another 12-16 hours of labor. 25 > 50 > 75 > 90

There are some material differences in the kits as well. The 25% & 50% kits will require you to purchase some additional material that does not ship with the kit. A list of what you need will be provided.

We are currently offering 3 dome kits 12’8″, 15′, and 20′ diameters. These are all 3v Icosahedrons constructed with the beveled frame method. There are no hubs in our kits.

All of our kits ship with a copy of the builder’s plans and will be cut to the specifications in the plans. Feel free to inquire about the tolerances we use. We buy the plans directly from Trillium Domes for you as part our commercial building agreements with them.

Custom Projects

Maybe you don’t exactly want a dome, but you know you want something in the realm of a geometric structure or a geometric embelishment… A zome perhaps, a pergola with beautiful buttressing, a merged combination of structures. This is all possible. From concept to drawings to building we can help you build your custom structure and we are sure you will enjoy the process as well as the end result. We can build small geometric structures as well. Maybe a doghouse? a catio? … sorry no fish tanks currently available. Please reach out and contact us for your custom project needs.
